Room 661 and guest floors
According to CBS Colorado, founder Walter Devereux is rumored to roam the halls and lobby in the evening, trailing the smell of cigar smoke, and guests have reported smelling gardenia perfume in the dining room, attributed in hotel stories to a World War II nurse called Bobbie.
Kathy Rippy Fleming, author of a 1995 book about the hotel, told the Post Independent that people still report cigar smoke at the front desk and a sweet perfume, and that a visiting group of investigators photographed orbs and what they described as a man's face in a mirror.
