The Witch House is a 17th-century house museum at 310 Essex Street in Salem, Massachusetts, and one of the only structures still standing in the city with direct ties to the witchcraft trials of 1692 1. It was the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin, who investigated the 1692 accusations and sat on the Court of Oyer and Terminer 1. Visitors commonly describe a felt presence in the upper chambers and sudden cold in the narrow stairways, along with footsteps and door sounds in rooms they have just left.
