Owner John Nichols told Savannah Magazine in 2019 that the building is haunted, citing an upstairs tenant who felt a tug on her toe and heard a little girl giggling, a customer's photograph of the front door that showed a woman holding a child, and a disconnected pay phone that rang three times 2. Visitors commonly describe a child's laughter from the upper floor, figures turning up in photographs of the doorway, and the old pay phone ringing on a line that has been dead for years.

According to Nichols, the restaurant's pay phone had been out of service for years when it rang three times a few months after he took over the business. He answered and heard silence, and said it has not happened since.
